  • Maleena Pone

    Executive Producer, Director, Coach & Mentor

    Maleena is an experienced Executive Producer, Director, and Transformational Coach with over 18 years of experience in media and production. Specialising in authored, emotionally intelligent documentary and digital-first storytelling, her work blends trauma-informed practice with deep cultural insight, shaping narratives that centre identity, belonging, and intergenerational challenges.

    She originated and directed the Channel 4 documentary Saving Mum: Our Family Secret, securing access, leading safeguarding, and building the story from the ground up across the UK and Costa Rica. She’s also secured successful co-production partnerships, most recently collaborating with Fremantle-owned Dancing Ledge Productions.

    Renowned for her expertise in crafting powerful narratives, Maleena has spearheaded global branded documentary campaigns for brands like Nike and IKEA, developed digital series formats for platforms such as BBC Three and LADBible as well as podcasts for BBC Sounds.

    Beyond her production achievements, Maleena is a certified Jungian life coach and devoted advocate for emerging and established creative talent. She passionately supports the development of confidence, strategic thinking and personal growth, fostering a ripple effect of empowerment in an industry hungry for more Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

    At the helm of StoryTell-Her Studios, Maleena not only co-creates transformative projects but also cultivates curiosity, confidence, and collective liberation.

  • Sharan Jaswal

    Creative Facilitator, Educator & Mentor

    Sharan is a dynamic consultant and facilitator with a deep commitment to social justice, education, and the empowerment of marginalised communities. With a wealth of experience in learning experience design, development and delivery, Sharan specialises in crafting impactful Education, Development, and Training projects both in the UK and internationally.

    Her work is rooted in a profound understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion and she is dedicated to creating spaces where marginalised voices are heard, valued, and uplifted. Sharan’s expertise extends to anti-racism and anti-oppression facilitation, where she collaborates with teams to challenge systemic racism and foster environments of collective accountability.

    Sharan’s passion for empowering young people is evident in her work with diverse youth aged 7-25 across schools, colleges, care systems, and prisons. She also leads #IamRemarkable workshops, inspiring women and marginalised groups to recognise and celebrate their achievements.

    At StoryTell-Her Studios, Sharan brings her unparalleled skills in leadership, well-being, and social justice to reimagine how the cultural and creative sectors can build inclusive communities of belonging. She has recently delivered race equity workshops with the BFI and drives our mission to create transformative storytelling that challenges inequality and inspires change.

Our work blends rigorous filmmaking with our unique trauma-informed practice & methodology, so people feel genuinely safe to share the stories they’ve never told. StoryTell-Her Studios exists to make that possible.
